Directions to the university

26th Annual Conference of the German Linguistics Association (DGfS) at Johannes-Gutenberg-Universität Mainz from February 25-27, 2004.

By car - From the north-east, take the A5 to Nordwestkreuz Frankfurt. From there, take the A66 direction Wiesbaden to Schiersteiner Kreuz. From there, take the A643 direction Koblenz/Bingen/Mainz to the Autobahndreick Mainz. From there, take the A60 direction Kaiserslautern/Darmstadt/Mz-Finthen to the exit Mz-Finthen/Innenstadt/Saarstaße (Exit 19) in direction Innenstadt/Saarstaße. From the north-west take the A61 to the Autobahnkreuz Nahetal, from there the A60 in direction Mainz/Wiesbaden to the exit Mz-Finthen/Innenstadt/Saarstaße, taking direction Innenstadt/Saarstaße. Or take the A3 to the A66 and then follow the north-east directions. From the south: Take the A5 to Darmstädter Kreuz, then the A67 direction Rüsselsheim. From there take the A60 direction Mainz/Wiesbaden to Exit 19 (Innenstadt/Saarstaße) in direction Innenstadt/Saarstaße. From all directions, once you have left the highway, the Saarstraße (L 419) leads to the traffic circle “Europaplatz”. Take the first exit right to exit the the traffic circle and then the first exit right, direction university. Turn left at the lights and stop at the gate entrance. By train Trains from Deutsche Bahn (DB) go to Mainz Hbf. If you exit by the main entrance, the main bus stop to the university is on your right. Consult the bus plan 2004 and use a bus that goes to the stop “Friedrich-von-Pfeiffer-Weg” (e.g. bus numbers 54, 55, 58, 68). After getting off the bus, backtrack a few metres and go over the pedestrian bridge. Once you have gone down the steps, cross the street and turn left. Continue ca. 50 metres to DasPhilosophicum, which should be on your right side. The building has glass doors. If you have any difficulties, please consult the campus map.

To the restaurant (Warming Up):

By car, drive in direction Mainz-Lerchenberg and ZDF. Take the Exit ZDF, turn left and continue over the bridge in direction Mainz-Marienborn. The restaurant „Berghof“ is 300m ahead on the right side. Parking spots are right in front of the restaurant. By bus, take either route 68 or 650 from the main bus stop in front of the central train station to the stop Lerchenberg/ZDF. Cross the bridge, (which is just before the stop) in direction Mainz-Marienborn. The restaurant “Berghof” should be ca. 300m ahead on the right side.
