Poster session 2018

The next poster session of the SIG CL at the Annual Conference of the DGfS 2018 in Stuttgart is being organized by Kerstin Eckart and Dominik Schlechtweg (Stuttgart). For more information please visit the website of the poster session.


Tutorial 2018

The next SIG CL tutorial at the Annual Conference of the DGfS 2018 in Stuttgart has the topic “Visual Analytics for Linguistics” and will be held by Miriam Butt, Menna El-Assady and Annette Hautli-Janisz (Konstanz).

Date: Tuesday, March 6th, 2018, 10:00 – 17:00.

The course will build on a similar course held in 2016 at the Annual Conference of the DGfS in Konstanz by Miriam Butt and Dominik Sacha.


Fall School 2017

The 9th Fall School of the SIG CL took place from September 11th to September 22nd  2017 at the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, Germany. The Fall School offered the following four courses:

  • Hassan M. Sajjad, Fahim Imaduddin (Hamid Bin Khalifa University Qatar):
    Deep Learning for Machine Translation
  • Laura Kallmeyer, Timm Lichte, Rainer Osswald, Simon Petitjean (University of Düsseldorf):
    Grammar Implementation with Lexicalized Tree Adjoining Grammars and Frame Semantics
  • Felix Bildhauer (IDS Mannheim), Roland Schäfer (Freie Universität Berlin):
    Creation, Use, and Analysis of Linguistically Annotated Resources
